SRP Election

Salt River Project holds elections for two organizations: the Salt River Valley Water Users’ Association (the Association) and the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District (the District). The Association focuses on water policy, while the District focuses on power policy.

The upcoming SRP election for the Association and the District gives you a direct say in the leaders who will guide how SRP plans for growth, manages resources, and protects ratepayers.

If you own property within SRP’s boundaries, you are eligible to vote in this election. Voters on SRP’s Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL) will automatically receive two ballots around March 11 in a yellow SRP envelope — one blue (the Association) and one white (the District). All other eligible voters may request these ballots and vote in both elections.

Most SRP offices, including the President, Vice President, Board, and Council positions, are elected on a one-vote-per-acre system. For example, an owner of 10 acres of land has 10 votes; an owner of a half-acre has 0.5 votes. The at-large Board positions are elected on a one landowner, one vote basis. The Association does not have at-large positions, so District 12 and District 14 will not appear on your Association ballot.
